On a good traffic day, we live about 25 minutes north of Seattle, and 40 minutes from the Sea-Tac Airport. Something we have really grown to love since we have moved here is visiting with friends who are in transition from one destination to another. Seattle is a common layover destination, and if you are planning an Alaskan cruise or a trip to Victoria, B.C., you will find yourself leaving out of Seattle.
Today, we got to visit for a short time with an old friend, Dena, who had just gotten off of a cruise. She and her husband, Mark, have had a huge impact on our individual lives and our marriage. That precious toddler that brought our rings to us, now 7 years ago, is their almost 10-year-old son. Now that’s a crazy thought.
Thanks, Dena, for visiting with us…and more so, for just smiling and saying "I understand" while our almost 11-month-old threw everything in sight onto the floor.
We are Erin and Josh, a wife and husband who blog to give our family and friends a perspective on our life as parents, leaders in a fairly new church, Southern California natives in the Pacific Northwest, and followers of Christ.

Oh, please, Abby wouldn’t throw anything on the floor
Dena, you look good
