bipolar molars

Standard

Please forgive insensitive title, but that’s the best way I can describe how Abby has been handling teething these last few days. She has four molars growing in at the same time, and while she’s handling it fairly well, she will have these moments of complete meltdown. We’re talking temper tantrums . . . arching back, rolling on the floor, screaming meltdowns. But, the good news is, we know its her teeth that are bothering her, and she will make it through this. Still, it does feel like we are heading into the independent 2’s way earlier than we were anticipating. We’ll keep you posted…

  1. Hi Erin….Took me a while to figure out who you were…SBTS also stands for the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary which is where I got my doctorate. I was trying to figure out, “What Erin do I know from Seminary.” Then I found YOUR blog and recognized you instantly with I saw a clear picture!

It’s great to re-connect with you. Love your blog!!!

  2. SO sorry, little one!…The pain can be outrageous, right?

Thankfully this too shall pass and God bless your patient and mature parents to understand this phenomenon.

Even they went through it…so don’t feel so bad…okay?

    Lots of love (and ambesol!!!)

  3. Ooohh…that is a stressful time and unfortunately it is not long forgotten now that Ihave a 12 yr old getting
12 yr molars!! Now he doesn’t scream & arch his back any more…BUT he does get quite grumpy!! Hyland’s Homeopathic Teething Tablets are a lifesaver!! You can now get them at Target, they just melt under your tongue and still work on a teething 12 yr old!! The frozen teethers & cool washcloths no longer work now that he can say “ice cream!”
    Good Luck!!
    Love
    Sheila

  4. Erin,
Ah, teething is bad, especially when they come in groups and top teeth and molars are harder than the bottom teeth, I think.
I know you are getting advice from everywhere for this, belive me, you will find the right one that works for you! Someone once told me cold cucumbers worked for their little one, I thought that was a neet idea…really cold water was Kaeden’s one thing that worked. I have also heard good things about the Hyland’s tablets that Sheila mentioned-we tried them a couple times, but Kaeden just spit them out.
Hang in there, this too shall pass!
