the sound of leavenworth

Standard

We heard music at every turn on our trip to Leavenworth. One night we got to enjoy an authentic German meal, and one musician serenaded Abby throughout our meal. One hour past her bedtime, and she was still going strong. (Pay no attention to the dorky mom in the background…once a preschool teacher… 🙂 ).

Our hotel also provided some additional ambiance with an Alpine horn player during breakfast. We’re pretty confidant that this would have sounded a little better echoing in the Alps…but at least we got to see a man in his lederhosen.

  1. The “dorky” moms must stick together, my moments just haven’t been caught on camera and posted on the internet!!Sounds like you guys had a great time on your get-away!

  2. I confess…DORK MOM! Now, moved onto DORKY OLD GRANDMA!

I LOVED THE SHOT OF ABBY’S LITTLE RHYTHMIC FOOT GOING TO THE BEAT OF THE MUSIC. SHE WAS REALLY STUDYING THAT INSTRUMENT…AND FEELING IT IN HER FEET!.

    OMGOSH….TOO MUCH!

    xoxoxoxo

  3. O.K-When it comes to dorky moms, I win. So you girls don’t have a chance!! I think there is still hope for Abs.
Although, aunt Verla use to play a mean accordian.
    Abby, you have “the beat”
    Love, Grandma Soni

  4. That is so awesome. I like how you guys were rocking in unison for a bit! Just don’t take the Snow Train out there for a few years. It can get stuck in the tunnel. Ask me how I know…

  5. All Moms are dorky, until we reach the age of 50+…they’re really cool then…Saw a bumper sticker the other day…said “Use an accordian, GO TO PRISON!” (Please insert bagpipes, or soprano saxaphone as substitute instrument). Abby knows…she was just being polite!

BTW, often wondered if rumours about Miles Davis faking his death and taking a residence gig in German theme spa were true…now I know! This guy can really blow!

    U*N*K

  6. she’s adorable! my daughter is 2 and she loves wearing her coat all of the time. in the house, in the car, to go to bed, etc….. and now we are starting a thing for backpacks. that’s going to be a hard one!
